The Texan singer-songwriter has wrapped up all the nerves you’ve been feeling towards your life and decision making into a tight angsty bow, bound to have you biting your nails as you contemplate how you got ‘here’ and where you’re headed – surely you already do this at least once a week if not more, but now you have the perfect soundtrack to go along with the mood! The track covers a school tour to an energy company, and the darkly similar stories of how the employees found their way to the business, along with the apprehension towards blindly following, surrendering your choice without realizing. Lyrically ‘Been Here Ever Since, Pt. One’ is a feat, especially when paired with One Last Job’s emotive vocals, he’s able to convey a substantial tale in a short period of time with 100% empathy from the listener. Artsy-poppy folk-punk at its finest.
