Netherlands based indie rock trio RHEIN have recently released single ‘Beter’ ahead of their highly anticipated release of ‘die Traumdeutung‘ a debut EP due for delivery to the world March 10th.
RHEIN is the musical alter-ego of Reinier van den Haak (of Krach, Roosbeef), who in recent years worked as a psychologist and has taken to combining both “passions” by gaining inspiration from his dreams, which leads to a swirly out of body feeling when listening to RHEIN compositions. Joined by producer and bassist Erik Harbers (of Automatic Sam, de Nooiters) and jazz drummer Ruud Voesten (Ambrosia, Krach), single ‘Beter‘ is a soothing piece of indie pop. Lyrically angsty and hopefully defeated, the track builds and swells gently as a midday tide. Van den Haak’s extremely emotive vocals caress around your senses, holding you enraptured and pacified for the full 3 minutes, set to hit replay.
