Heart Sauce have the right kind of messy charm going on with ‘It’ll Probably Be Fine‘, a hazy little existential spiral that
somehow makes questioning the meaning of life feel like a pretty good time. Built on lo-fi beats, jangly surf-tinged guitars and laid-back crooning vocals, the track slips effortlessly between post-punk cool and indie slacker sensibilities. There’s humour tucked into the melancholy, sarcasm sitting comfortably beside genuine vulnerability, while the lyrics wander through space, time and the general confusion of being alive. Nothing feels overly polished, and that’s exactly the point. ‘It’ll Probably Be Fine’ sounds like a late-night conversation that gets progressively more philosophical, only to end with a shrug and a laugh. Heart Sauce keep things loose, catchy and effortlessly human, proving that existential dread can still have a killer groove.
